Celebrate the 50’s horror/sci-fi classic where it was filmed
July 10-12, 2015
Note: The information below is from 2014. Stay tuned for more information about this year’s event as it becomes available.
Many scenes from the 1958 horror/science-fiction movie The Blob were filmed at the Colonial Theatre and in Phoenixville, and every year locals celebrate their place in movie history with a weekend-long street party.
Festivities include three film screenings of The Blob (as well as other horror/science fiction films including Mothra, King Kong vs. Godzilla and The Giant Spider), a costume contest, live reenactments from the movie, a street fair, themed competitions and an amateur filmmaking contest.
