Overview

Coming into its 32nd year, the Celebration of Black Arts (formerly the Celebration of Black Writing) is a month-long celebration of African-American literature and art that features an array of events welcoming all ages, backgrounds and interests.

All throughout May, author readings, interactive workshops, live performances, an awards show and an outdoor festival will take place to spark discussion and spawn recognition of talented artists within the African-American community.

More than 50 presenters, artists and authors will lead events to draw national crowds of over 7,500 attendees.
