Concerts Under the Stars
The stars of folk music shine every summer in King of Prussia
Description
The Experience
Concerts Under The Stars sure sounds romantic, and this long-running outdoor concert series does have its share of romantic folksingers.
But let’s not forget the comedic performers you can see here like Trout Fishing in America, rock performers like Eric Martin and Ted Poley, and many more popular artists in every shape, size and musical genre.
Every Sunday evening from late-May to mid-August, families from all over the area head for Concerts Under The Stars in King of Prussia armed with blankets, picnic baskets and, just in case, rain gear. For just $10 per ticket (kids and seniors get in free) you can enjoy your favorite folksingers here.
The season schedule presents a who’s who of America’s hottest folk musicians. Visit Concerts Under the Stars for a full schedule of this summer’s performances!
History
Upper Merion Township Parks and Recreation Department began this series in 1985 with seven shows per summer in an effort to bring more folk music to the area. Today it offers more than ten Sunday shows each summer devoted to quality live music in an ideal, outdoor setting. Families are more than welcome and parking is free and plentiful.
Insider Tip
Pack a basket and come early for picnic, Frisbee and lawn play. Bring low, folding chairs, blankets and some rain gear – concerts go on rain or shine.
Kids’ Shows
Check the schedule for Family Night programs, which feature a special children’s set at 7:00 pm.
