Dog Days of Summer Cook-Off
A hot summer festival focusing on a summer classic
Saturday, July 18, 2015
Some of the area’s top restaurants and food trucks compete for the title of Top Grill Master during the annual Dog Days of Summer Cook-Off. And the medium of choice: hot dogs.
The action takes place just off of South Street at the The Shambles at Headhouse Square.
From 1 to 4 p.m., members of the public are invited to treat their taste buds to a wide range of bun-swaddled smoked meats. Restaurants and chefs from across the city will go head to head to create the best dog out there in hopes of taking home the dog days trophy. Beer from Victory and the Boston Brewing Company will round out the fun.
General admission is free. Food and drink tickets are pay as you go with tickets costing four for $10 or 15 for $30.
Food will go for one ticket, beer for two. VIP passes cost $30, but supplies are limited. VIP perks include early admission (noon), a special gift and 20 food/drink tickets.
Funds raised from the event will support the preservation of the historic Shambles at Headhouse Square, which date back all the way to 1745.
