LOVE Your Park Week
Making Philadelphia’s great public spaces even better
May 7-14, 2016
Philadelphia’s park system has more than 10,000 acres of open space including trails, streams, forest and 75 neighborhood playgrounds spread across the city. The outdoor public space is an awesome asset for residents and visitors to enjoy, but it’s also a lot to care for and upkeep.
Enter Philadelphia’s fourth annual “LOVE Your Park Week,” taking place May 7-14 and presented by Philadelphia Parks and Recreation, the Fairmount Park Conservancy and neighborhood park groups.
Outdoor events of all sort make up the weeklong event, which invites you to pitch in and contribute to enhancing the awesome al fresco space that fills the city. In addition to designated service activities, festivals, family-friendly events and more will also take place in celebration of the area’s public parks.
