Sunday, May 11: 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

For the third year in a row, the Pennsylvania Guild of Craftsmen has partnered with the Friends of Rittenhouse Square and Philadelphia Parks & Recreation to present the Pennsylvania Guild Fine Craft Fair this weekend, May 9 to 11.

This vibrant and festive event celebrates the work of the innovative craftspeople who take everyday, functional items and transform them into masterpieces of artistic expression that still remain useful.

More than 140 fine artisans from across the United States and Canada, including local and regional artists, will fill the sidewalks and pathways of Rittenhouse Square to share their work with Philadelphians.

What to expect

The three-day long juried fair showcases unique pieces that range from ceramics and furniture to jewelry and clothing. Approximately half of the vendors display home décor — think furniture, pottery, clocks, glass, photography and other furnishings — while the other half presents jewelry, clothing, accessories and more.

The vendors and artists are one and the same, meaning that the people selling the items are the actually the ones who handmade them, so shoppers and aspiring crafters have the exciting opportunity to get to know the artists before purchasing their creations to display at home.
