Overview

The city is preparing to show off its fashionable side during The Philadelphia Collection. A wide-variety of fashion and style events, including fashion shows, workshops, trunk shows and in-store events, have been brought together for a celebration of Philadelphia’s fashion and retail community.

The streets will be flowing with style as retailers, boutiques, stylists, designers, modeling agencies and design schools promote every aspect of the fashion world.

Highlights

Macy’s Fall Fashion Show
Thursday, September 19, 5:30 p.m.
Macy’s Center City, 1300 Market Street
Head to Macy’s for an unforgettable runway show as the Philadelphia Fashion Incubator designers-in-residence debut their spring 2014 collections in a collaborative fashion event that also spotlights Macy’s fall style trends. The free event also includes a DJ and treats while you shop.

Rittenhouse Row Fall Fashion Crawl
Thursday, September 19, 6-8 p.m.
Rittenhouse Square
In a heady mix of fashion and cocktails, the Fall Fashion Crawl brings style-lovers out to Rittenhouse in a roving event highlighting the best of fall fashion and mixology. A slew of Rittenhouse Row retailers will host simultaneous in-store events, while attendees party hop. Wristbands, $25, are available online or at Sephora (1714 Chestnut Street) for $30.

FBH Philly Fashion Week White Tie Gala
Thursday, September 19, 7 p.m.
The Oval, 26th Street and the Benjamin Franklin Parkway

The pop-up park on the Parkway hosts a red-carpet event, award ceremony and runway show featuring Philly Fashion Week designers. The white-tie soiree is free to attend, but RSVP here to attend.

FBH Philly Fashion Week Haute Couture Runway Show
Saturday, September 21, 7 p.m., fashion show, 8 p.m.
Crane Arts Building, 1400 N. American Street
A grand showcase of nearly a dozen local, national and international fashion designers is the centerpiece of this style event at Crane Arts in Kensington. Tickets, $40, are available online.

Phashion Phest
Wednesday, September 25, 6:30-9:30 p.m.
The Shops at Liberty Place, 1625 Chestnut Street
Now in its 20th year, More than 1,000 guests and participants gather every year for a lavish cocktail reception and a high-energy fashion show of the latest fall trends in the Philadelphia market. Tickets, $50 in advance or $60 at the door, are available online.

Dressed To A Tea
September 19, 20 and 21, 2-4 p.m.
Liberté Lounge at Sofitel Philadephia, 120 S. 17th Street
Pop in at the Sofitel Philadelphia for three designer fashion events during an afternoon tea. Featured designers include Irina Sigal on Thursday, September 19, and Sarah Van Aken of Sa Va on Saturday, September 21.

Street Art & Fashion on 4th Street
Thursday, September 19, 6-9 p.m.
Fabric Row, S. 4th Street
Head to historic Fabric Row for an evening of fashion and street art — create art with professionals, view street-art inspired fashion and shop stores including The Pet Snobs Boutique, Urban Princess Boutique, BUS STOP Boutique, Paradigm Gallery & Studio, and Follice Studio.

The Fashionaires Designer Pop-Up Boutique
Friday, September 20, 11 a.m.-7 p.m.
Hotel Palomar Philadelphia, 117 S. 17th Street, Tyng Room, 2nd Floor
Shop designer vintage apparel and accessories in a one-day pop-up boutique at the Hotel Palomar. Expect big brand names like Oscar de la Renta, Christian Louboutin, Chanel, Christian Dior, Valentino and more.

Shopping Day Out
Saturday, September 21, noon-6 p.m.
The Oval, 26th Street and the Benjamin Franklin Parkway
The Oval, the Parkway’s pop-up park, returns in conjunction with The Philadelphia Collection for a daylong shop-a-thon showcasing local Philadelphia boutiques and retailers. In addition to a ton of local fashion, food trucks will be on hand to feed shoppers and a local DJs will perform one-hour sets throughout the event.

United By Blue Grand Opening Celebration
Wednesday, September 25, 6-9 p.m.
United By Blue, 144 N. 2nd Street
Join the party for the grand opening of new Old City boutique United By Blue with food, drinks and festivities at its brand new coffeehouse and clothier space. The soiree is free to attend, but you must “(external)click here”: http://bit.ly/1cktajx to RSVP.
