Frank Furness (1876)
Description
Frank Furness designed many banks, few of which remain. Centennial Bank, restored by Drexel University, includes such typical Furness devices as squat columns, pointed windows, and decorative brick patterns. The interior is brilliantly colored and lit by skylights.
Visiting
The Centennial Bank building is now the Paul Peck Alumni Center of Drexel University. It’s on the corner of 32nd and Market Streets and now also houses an art gallery.
