The Philadelphia CineFest is 11 days packed with the best works in independent and foreign cinema. Film lovers can immerse themselves within the world of cinema with screenings at theaters throughout the city, panel discussions, special events and more.
The festival also brings panel discussions, workshops, networking events, Q&A sessions and even a little elbow-rubbing with A-list celebrities.
Past film screenings have been held are held at the Ritz East One and Two, the Painted Bride and the legendary Trocadero.

In 1991, International House founded the Philadelphia Festival of World Cinema as a window into diverse cultures. For several years thereafter, the Philadelphia Film Festival was presented by TLA Entertainment Group and produced by the Philadelphia Film Society.
In 2009, the PFS joined with the newly formed Philadelphia Cinema Alliance to produce the festival.
