Historic home of independent cinema in the center of Jenkintown
For more than 100 years, the Hiway Theater has been a cultural fixture in the center of Jenkintown.
While it has changed hands and undergone changes since being first opening Jenkintown Auditorium in 1913, the theater has remained a community destination for decades.
Since 2003, the theater has been operating as a non-profit organization bringing independent and foreign films to cinema lovers in the region.
The exterior of the Hiway Theater captures its classic charm, with a tall tower and glowing marquis. Inside, you’ll find a modern filmgoing experience with digital projection and quality sound.
