You can take a picnic and enjoy a simple walk, take your bicycle or even go horseback riding in this park, where the Perkiomen Trail meanders through woodlands, grasslands and the magnificent Spring Mountain.
There are picnic areas at the Park Headquarters on Plank Road, as well as fishing access to the creek, a children’s playground, shuffleboard and large multi-use fields.
Come Prepared
Pets must be leashed, and no alcohol is permitted in the park.
Outsider’s Tip
The Old Mill House, a turn-of -the-century summer retreat, is available through the year for private rental. The wraparound-screened porch overlooking the Perkiomen Creek — visible in the picture above — is a prominent feature.
