Mainstream Outfitters offers classes for adults and children on how to tie your own flies and how to identify, preserve and match the stream minnows and other insects that are found in local waters.

Come Prepared

You will need to make reservations for a guided fishing trip in advance. You’ll also need your fishing license. Your own tools and hip boots are necessary for the fly tying and insect identification classes as well.

Outsider’s Tip

The guided trips are timed according to the best fishing times of the day, and half days do not include lunch. Meanwhile, at the store, there’s a great one-hour class just for kids who want to learn how to the basics of casting and fly-fishing.
