Located in a six-acre, wooded parkland in beautiful East Fairmount Park, this century-old landmark is home to a four-story, 24,000-square-foot “play mansion,” iconic 44-foot wooden slide and state-of-the-art Play Pod filled with a giant see-saw and spinning “jungle gyms.”

Free for all to enjoy, Smith is an ideal attraction for families.

The Playhouse, designed for children 5 and under, offers toys, games and activities including a tumbling room, a book nook, a climb-on train, and indoor tricycle room for exploring “Smithville,” a mini-town made just for kids.

The historic mansion boasts high ceilings, an elegant staircase and intricate woodwork, creating a beautiful ambiance for play and admiration. It has hosted over nine million children since its opening and continues to remain a tradition within Philadelphian generations.
