New location for Mike Stollenwerk’s highly rated restaurant
Bigger and better than ever, Mike Stollenwerk’s Fish restaurant is making waves at its new home at the Independence Hotel.
More than tripling the seating from their previous location on Lombard Street, the revamped Fish is bigger, more stylized and features an expanded menu.
Drawing inspiration from an early 20th-century San Francisco fish market, the interior of Fish is decorated with stained subway tiles, marble accents and bubbling oyster tanks. Grab a seat on either side of the stylish granite bar and sip on a craft cocktail or sit around the open kitchen while enjoying selections from the fresh raw bar.
One bite of Stollenwerk’s skate wing with spatzle in a truffle parmesan broth and you’ll under stand why the Inquirer food critic Craig LaBan awarded Fish”:(external)three-bells:http://articles.philly.com/2010-01-31/entertainment/24956035_1_sous-chef-butter-poached-lobster-oysters.
Don’t forget to finish off your delicious meal with a selection of desserts made by former 10 Arts Bistro Pastry Chef Monica Glass.
