The Olde Bar
Jose Garces resurrects a history-steeped seafood haven and landmark
Giving tribute to the city’s storied past, The Olde Bar brings an updated version of one of our most beloved dining spaces. When Jose Garces took over the former Old Original Bookbinder’s, once a Philadelphia seafoodery landmark, the celebrity chef deliciously resurrected a Philadelphia nautical dining tradition.
Today, the saloon-styled spot serves up items like Fish House punch, raw and fried oysters, snapper soup and strawberry shortcake to be shared at booths and at the bar.
Look forward to a full raw bar, meaning plenty of oyster on the half shell options, alongside a menu of modern reimaginings of traditional bar snacks and a comprehensive cocktail and spirit list.
