The Experience

Fittingly located on the ground floor of the beautiful Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts, Volvér is a theatrical dining adventure from renowned chef Jose Garces.

Based on Garces’ world travels, Volvér offers two distinct experiences for diners: a first-come, first-served champagne bar dubbed Bar Volvér and a ticketed dining experience with just two seatings a night.

Bar Volvér

Open-to-the-public on a first-come, first-served basis, Bar Volvér is champagne and caviar lounge featuring a 1,500-bottle deep wine list, including more than 50 sparkling varietals.

In addition to sparkling refreshments, diners can order such haute bar snacks as caviar, charcuterie and cheese, as well as small plates like oyster tartare with horseradish cream cheese foam and black truffle concentrate.

The Main Event

The main dining experience at Volvér is a theatrical event onto itself. Diners will be served from a completely open kitchen revealing a behind-the-scenes look into the culinary process.

With seating for 30, the main dining room offers just two seatings a night featuring two separate, multi-course tasting menus carefully composed by Chef Garces and chef de cuisine Natalie Maronski. The first seating – the pre-theater tasting – features eight courses and ranges from $75 to $120 per person. The second seating – the “Performance” – starts with a first course of four snacks, followed by a staggering 12 courses for $175 to $250 per person.

Dishes highlight seasonal and regional ingredients, including locally raised meat, poultry and seafood and produce from Chef Garces’ own Luna Farm in Bucks County.

The ever-evolving menu features plates include the likes of a garden tasting with live lettuces from Garces’ Luna Farm; deviled egg duck liver mousse; Wagyu beef cooked on embers with beet root crema; and Monterey Bay squid stuffed with house-made green curry tapioca and coconut bubbles, and much more.

Reservations

Forgoing a traditional reservation system, getting a seat in the dining room requires tickets similar to a theatrical show or sporting event. Advance tickets are available for parties of two, four or six.
