Dear Colleague,

Big news! This week we officially launched the newly redesigned visitphilly.com, Greater Philadelphia’s official visitor website. Charged with inspiring people to visit Philadelphia, motivating them to stay longer and helping them find more things to do while they're here, the new website builds on what was great about visitphilly.com before and strengthens it to meet and exceed travelers’ high digital expectations in 2018.

What’s New:
Here’s a look at a few of the new features on the site:
  • Cinematic Design and Visuals: The new visitphilly.com design features large, vibrant images on every page to show off the destination and instantly draw visitors in. The heavily visual design is responsive, so its effectiveness translates across screen sizes: computers, tablets and smartphones.

  • Refined Content Strategy: The refined visitphilly.com content strategy places emphasis on things-to-do- and reasons-to-visit-focused content. Users will see more curated articles—such as "Top Things to Do in Philadelphia in April"—a response to how more website visitors are consuming content.

  • Reimagined Online Media Center: At visitphilly.com/mediacenter, journalists, bloggers and other media professionals can find fact-filled press releases and ready-to-publish photography and B-roll. These online resources are now more visual and easier to search.
Why It Matters:
We know from our research that visits to our websites convert into real-life Philadelphia visitors.
An important objective of the redesign was to make sure the website continues to drive awareness of and visitation to Philadelphia attractions, hotels, restaurants and more. Last year, visitphilly.com and uwishunu.com drove more than 3.5 million clicks to our partners’ websites, and maintaining these results were top of mind during the website upgrade.

As people spend more time online, consuming information about Philly on more platforms than ever, we require a site that reflects how users interact with a destination now.
The changes to visitphilly.com make it easier than ever for visitors to find more reasons to visit and more things to do while they’re here.

Sincerely,
