Dear Colleague,
People who used to live in Philadelphia maintain huge affection for the region. That’s why we’re taking our nostalgia marketing initiative Homesick Philly® on the road this summer.
We hope these activations remind people who are homesick for Philly what they’re missing and encourage them to visit.
  • iHeartMedia’s Broadway in Bryant Park: At this popular event—which kicked off last Thursday and continues through August 16—10,000 weekly attendees will receive our Homesick message. The sponsorship includes an activation space that Mural Arts Philadelphia artist Felix St. Fort will use to paint a What You’ve Been Missing mural to be installed temporarily at Cherry Street Pier, opening this fall.

  • Homesick Philly Tour: Kicking off in Philadelphia’s Dilworth Park on July 31, the tour will encourage event-goers to reminisce about Philly with tastes of the foods they miss and other culinary creations from former "Top Chef" contestant Jennifer Carroll and Billy Riddle of the new Spice Finch; Kurt Evans of South; and Marcie Turney of 13th Street restaurants Lolita, Barbuzzo, Bud & Marilyn’s, Little Nonna’s and Jamonera. Guests will also be treated to music, giveaways and a postcard station.
    • Thursday, August 2, 5:30 p.m. – WTMD’s First Thursday Festival, Baltimore
    • Wednesday, August 8, 11 a.m. – LIVE! Concert Series, DC
    • Thursday, August 16, 5 p.m. – Boston Calling Block Party, Boston

In case you missed it: Our 2018 annual report is out.
As one reader told us, "This is pure gold to someone like me who is constantly curious about how our city is perceived and presented."
