Dear Colleague,

It’s been a busy start to the year at VISIT PHILADELPHIA®. Here’s a look at some of the big projects we’ve been focused on this month:

A Big Week for Philly Food
At last week’s Philly Chef Conference at Drexel University and the James Beard Awards nominee announcement and benefit dinner, both sponsored in part by VISIT PHILADELPHIA, we engaged with people from all aspects of the food industry—chefs, business people, media and marketers—to tout Philly’s dining and drinking scene and seed future stories.
Southwest
Homesick Philly® Happy Hour at South by Southwest (SXSW)
On March 11, people packed the Amplify Philly House in Austin, Texas, for a Homesick Philly happy hour, where attendees got a taste of Philadelphia’s iconic foods. Among the guests were Philadelphia Eagle Najee Goode and hip-hop artist Chill Moody.

We Got You
Behind-the-Series Industry Presentation in Pittsburgh
Earlier this month, we traveled to Pittsburgh for Destinations International’s CMO Summit, where we spoke to a room of 50 destination marketers on the power and influence of multicultural marketing through our African-American travel series We Got You. The series took home a silver Philadelphia ADDY® Award on March 8.

The All-New Look for Visitphilly.com
We soft-launched the newly redesigned visitphilly.com, now better tailored than ever to inspire the more than 1 million people who use it each month to plan trips to Philadelphia and find more things to do here. Take a look, and share your feedback with us.

Sincerely,
P.S. In case you missed it: Philadelphia recently earned a spot on TIME's Money Magazine's list of the 20 best places to go in 2018. The list says Philly "delivers a choose-your-own-adventure type of trip—its patchwork of neighborhoods giving you the chance to seize vastly different experiences within the same modest boundaries."
