Hosted by the Philadelphia Film Society (PFS), the annual Festival Fim Philadelphia showcases the best in independent and foreign cinema in theaters and venues throughout Philadelphia.
The event usually features dozens of films from around the globe — divided into helpful categories — along with appearances from special guests from the world of cinema.
Every year, the festival is bookended with blockbuster opening and closing night films. The festival also promises screenings of short films, feature-length films, animated movies and other genres at venues like the Philadelphia Film Center.
The nearly two-week festival features dozens of films from around the globe.
Every October, the Festival Fim Philadelphia gathers more than 25,000 dedicated film lovers and scores of talented filmmakers for 11 days of cinematic grandeur.
Curated by the programming committee of the Philadelphia Film Society, the Philadelphia Film Festival carefully selects films from around the world that have screened in prestigious festivals like Cannes, Sundance, Tribeca and Berlinale.
The film program highlights masters of cinema, new French films, films from Spain and Latin America, American Independents, Philadelphia filmmakers, documentaries, live-action and animated shorts and more.
The festival presents these films alongside exclusive events, such as VIP receptions and appearances by actors, directors and industry guests.
Tickets are typically $15 for regular screenings and $8 for weekday matinees, with discounts for Philadelphia Film Society members. Tickets can be purchased online, by phone or at select venue box offices. For ticket information, click the button below:
