Folks are staying closer to home right now, which means that Philadelphians are discovering (or rediscovering) all the amazing things there are to do throughout the region.
Enter the #OurTurnToTourist video series, where local chefs, artists, journalists and others show off what they’re checking out right now in Philadelphia and the Countryside.
In each inspirational video, a special guest takes viewers on a mini-tour, highlighting some of the endless possibilities for socially distant fun and exploration in the Philadelphia region — and indicating how to have a travel experience without traveling far.
Scroll down to watch, then work out your own itinerary by exploring all the fun things to do right now in Greater Philadelphia.
When model and on-air personality India Sioux and stylist Reannoin Celins get a chance to catch up, it’s always a fun day. Follow along as India returns to Philly from Brooklyn to spend time with Reannoin and enjoy a bit of retail therapy.
After meeting up at William H. Gray III 30th Street Station, the friends head to Cherry Street Pier for some fresh air and gorgeous waterfront views, paired with the pier’s signature shipping container art galleries. Then it’s off to the Fashion District for some shopping at Rec Philly. The collaborative creator space has a storefront that sells art, fashion, music and other Philly-made merchandise.
Bar Bombón in Rittenhouse Square is the ideal spot for outdoor dining. Warm cocktails and take-home blankets make sidewalk dining tasty and cozy. India and Reannoin end the night at the boutique-style Canopy by Hilton Philadelphia Center City Hotel, where mid-century design matches the restored building and modern amenities.
