La National Liberty Museum — located in Philadelphia’s Historic District — offers contemporary perspectives on some of American history’s boldest and most innovative concepts.
With four floors of exhibitions, interactive displays and ever-changing galleries, the National Liberty Museum creates a space to explore the meaning, practice and complexity of liberty today.
The National Liberty Museum has featured works by hundreds of local and international artists and hosts public events throughout the year.
Featuring several galleries and a regular lineup of programs and events, the National Liberty Museum sparks dialogue and encourages visitors to engage with some of the most meaningful topics of our time — from liberty and equality to critical thinking and the value of collaboration.
Permanent museum highlights include the 21-foot Flame of Liberty glass art sculpture by Dale Chihuly, a welcome gallery with an exact replica of the Liberty Bell and a gallery celebrating the stories of heroes from all backgrounds.
Along with art and exhibitions, the National Liberty Museum offers talks, tours, K-12 programs, workshops and more.
