Explore Philadelphia’s complex history and learn about the city’s past, present and future — one neighborhood at a time — on guided Neighborhood Walking Tours of Philadelphia.
More than 40 different tours, run by the Preservation Alliance for Greater Philadelphia, are led by a knowledgeable group of volunteers. Each tour looks at a small section of the Greater Philadelphia region and shares a piece of the overall story of the city and region.
Each tour takes groups through various sections of the city, including Society Hill, Rittenhouse Square, Fishtown and Chestnut Hill.
Themed tours are also available, including “Littlest Streets,” “Art Deco Philadelphia,” “Skyscrapers Old and New” and “Ben Franklin’s Philadelphia.”
A small selection of free self-guided tours is available as well.
Neighborhood Tours of Philadelphia are led by the Preservation Alliance for Greater Philadelphia, an organization that actively promotes the appreciation, protection and revitalization of the Philadelphia region’s historic buildings, communities and landscapes.
