A giant, glowing German Christmas Pyramid lights up LOVE Park to welcome shoppers this year at the annual open-air Bavarian holiday marketplace Christmas Village in Philadelphia.

More than 100 vendors set up in wooden stalls offering gifts, ornaments, accessories and wintry apparel along with tasty treats like raclette sandwiches, spiced wine, apple cider, strudels and more.

Check out the event’s Festival of Trees inside the LOVE Park Visitor Center, while across the street at City Hall, find more vendors, a 65-foot Ferris wheel and the double-decker Christmas Village Carousel.

Vendor Village at Wannamaker Light Show

Through Tuesday, December 24, 2025 (select dates)

Since 1956, thousands of dancing snowflake-, candy cane- and snowman-shaped lights have illuminated Wanamaker’s Grand Court, accompanied by the world-renowned Wanamaker Organ. Despite the closure of the historic Wanamaker Building’s most recent tenant — Macy’s — the (holiday) show must go on, with the return of both the newly named Wanamaker Light Show and Dickens Village.

New this year: Grab some great gifts at the Vendor Village brought to you by the Christmas Village in Philadelphia. The brand-new indoor holiday market in the Wanamaker Building Grand Court features handmade gifts and hand-crafted, artisanal goods.

Located in Chinatown, the Asian Arts Initiative (AAI) serves as a neighborhood arts center central to the Philadelphia AAPI community serving underrepresented artists and using art to harness a collective spirit.

Each year, the AAI hosts the Community Fair, back once again with its all-ages arts and crafts market tha highlights work from the institution’s youth programs (including the Youth Arts Workshop and Youth Leadership Initiative), plus more local artists and makers.

One of Chester County’s most interesting historical attractions, Historic Sugartown is a preserved 19th-century village offering a glimpse into early American life with tours of restored buildings, an in-depth museum and more.

The Latvian Society of Philadelphia (aka Philadelphia Society of Free Letts), established in 1892 by Lettlanders fleeing Tsarist Russia, has been presenting its popular Winter Holiday Market for more than six decades.

Peruse European holiday gifts created by skilled artisans from the East Poplar-based guild — the oldest such organization outside of Latvia — while enjoying Baltic treats like pīrāgi (bacon buns) and piparkūkas (gingerbread cookies), a European style buffet in the bistro, as well as a selection of international beers and spirits in the retro pub.

Holiday Markets at Bok Building

December 6 & 13, 2025 (dates vary by event)

Philadelphia’s Bok Building, a former school-turned-makerspace in East Passyunk, serves as a creative hub in the city. In addition to the Trans Art Winter Market (see below), the Bok hosts two holiday markets this season:

  • Fiber Craft Holiday Market: Calling all crafters and fiber-arts lovers. The third annual fiber craft market features more than 50 vendors and offers textiles in all their myriad forms, including yarn, craft kits and dyers and spinners, as well as fiber art, jewelry and wearable handmade goods. The market is free to enter (Saturday, December 6, 2025, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.).
  • Made @ Bok Winter Market: The Made @ Bok Winter Market showcases the artists and designers based within the building. Entry is free to the market in the West Gym, where attendees can shop everything from sustainable fashion and hand-blown glass to fine-crafted jewelry. Don’t miss demonstrations by resident artists as well (Saturday, December 13, 2025, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.)

Oaks Christmas Market at Greater Philadelphia Expo Center

Back by popular demand for a second year: the Oaks Christmas Market at the Valley Forge area’s Greater Philadelphia Expo Center.

The curated shopping experience also features family-friendly activities like balloon twisting and face painting, as well as visits with Santa. And guests can enjoy handcrafted warm drinks and cocktails while you shop to your heart’s content.

The parking lot is reserved for accessible vehicles and drop-offs, but a free shuttle runs to and from ​downtown Kennett Square.

A tradition six years running, the Trans Art Winter Market highlights trans, non-binary and gender expansive artists and makers in Philly.

Philly favorite alternative marketplace Punk Rock Flea Market opens its doors for three days this year at 23rd Street Armory in Rittenhouse Square. The night market runs from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday night, with open hours on Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Shop for all your indie gifts — including vintage clothing and concert tees, vinyl records, crafts, art, posters and plenty of “old punk junk” — for family and friends. The $10 entry (kids 12 and under free) is good for the entire weekend, so come back for a brand-new lineup of vendors each day.

Decemberfest Holiday Shopping Stroll in Mt. Airy

Decemberfest along Germantown Avenue in Mt. Airy offers a festive shopping stroll this year, with music, food and drink, Santa, an ice-sculpting demonstration and of course, plenty of shopping.

Shops all along the drag (from Allens Lane to Horter Street) offer refreshments and tons of holiday specials. It’s about a 20-minute stroll (one mile) if you cover the entire stretch.
