The Food Trust's Farmers Markets
Thanks to The Food Trust, produce shoppers can find an open-air market in just about any neighborhood throughout the Greater Philadelphia area.
In partnership with Get Healthy Philly, The Food Trust operates more than 20 farmers’ markets throughout Greater Philadelphia, including Headhouse Farmers Market, the city’s largest outdoor market.
A handful of markets — like Headhouse Square, Clark Park and Fitler Square — make fresh, local produce available year round, while locations such as Hunting Park, Chester and Fairmount are open seasonally.
At The Food Trust farmers’ markets throughout Greater Philadelphia, local farmers pile tables with an amazing variety of beautiful, locally grown fruits and vegetables.
The Food Trust operates more than 20 farmers’ markets throughout Greater Philadelphia.
Fresh foods cover the spectrum from affordable, high-quality fruits to organically grown heirloom vegetables.
This rainbow of fruits and vegetables is complemented by sweet pastries and breads fresh from Amish ovens, local honey, cut flowers, milk, eggs, cheeses, meats, dried herbs and specialty foods.
The Food Trust works to build strong communities through healthy food. With community support, the organization manages the farmers’ markets, educates children in low-income neighborhoods about healthy eating and nutrition and advocates for statewide policies that support family farms and make fruits and vegetables more accessible.
