Witches and Wizards in Chestnut Hill
Wizardry and wonder fill the air each October when Chestnut Hill transforms for Witches and Wizards Weekend.
Formerly the Harry Potter Festival, the new-for-2018 Witches and Wizards festival weekend takes over the charming town for spellbinding events that morph the neighborhood into an enchanting magic-filled haunt.
This two-day event starts a new tradition that combines ghosts of wizards-past and fun activities for the whole family across multiple locations in Chestnut Hill.
Attendees will find fire-breathers, dancing zombies, hay rides, a costume and more. The popular Quidditch tournament returns, and Woodmere Art Museum hosts a straw maze. Older witches and wizards can enjoy a pub crawl through outdoor beer gardens and have their fortunes told along the way.
Philadelphia’s charming Chestnut Hill neighborhood is transformed into a magical world of spells and spooky thrills for all ages during Witches and Wizards festival weekend.
The Brotherly Love Cup Quidditch Tournament returns for the ninth year — just one of the many attractions that brings thousands of people to this fun-filled fall event.
Throughout the event, witches and wizards young and old can navigate a straw maze, see live circus performances, flex their archery muscles and more.
The updated Brews & Broomsticks Pub Crawl includes food and drink specials, two outdoor beer gardens, costumed actors and fire breathers along Germantown Avenue, plus Witches and Wizards swag and live DJ entertainment throughout the evening.
