New Hope Celebrates Pride Week
Head “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” to Bucks County
May 11-18, 2014
The celebration of New Hope and Pennsylvania’s gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered visitors, friends and neighbors is one of a few pride festivals in the country with the principal goal of raising money to serve the community.
The festivities kicks off with the unfurling of a section of the four-mile Key West Rainbow Flag. Additional highlights of the weekend include live entertainment, outdoor exhibits by GLBT artists, dance parties, retail and restaurant promotions, a softball tournament and much more.
An artistic village set along the picturesque banks of the Delaware River, New Hope is filled with art galleries, independent shops, great dining, bars, lounges and quaint bed and breakfasts.
New Hope Celebrates Pride Parade
The main event of the week-long celebration, the annual Pride Parade (May 17) is a colorful celebration featuring bands, floats and local organizations.
