The Rothman Ice Rink and America’s Garden Capital Maze at Dilworth Park
Three months of ice skating right next to City Hall
November 11, 2016 – February 26, 2017
As the weather cools, action at cold-weather attractions heats up in Philadelphia. On Friday, November 11, the Rothman Institute Ice Rink at Dilworth Park will reopen for its third year of seasonal skating.
Those looking to ice skate in the heart of Philadelphia can pack up their cold-weather gear and head to the rink at Dilworth Park, where skyline views await just outside of City Hall.
The ice rink is open to skaters of all levels and all ages, and those who aren’t so familiar with ice skating can take part in a $99, five-class learn to skate lesson on Sunday mornings.
Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for children ages 10 and under. Those who do not have their own ice skates can rent a pair for $10.
The Rothman Cabin
Returning to keep you warm after a nice, brisk skate, the Rothman Cabin will once again offer a heated tent, located at the tip of the ice rink. Enjoy hot, seasonal cocktails, a variety of craft beer and a food menu from Air Grille by Brûlée Catering, including hearty items like poutine and chili.
Stay tuned for even more on this winter attraction including a number of special events throughout its season.

America’s Garden Capital Maze
New in 2016, Dilworth Park hosts a popup maze-meets-garden created in partnership with Greater Philadelphia Gardens. Wander through the holiday-inspired America’s Garden Capital Maze where you’ll find a variety of seasonal shrubbery and decorations. Adjacent to the Rothman Institute Ice Rink, the garden also brings a series of special programming – “Orchids for the Office,” “Terrarium How To” and more – to be presented in Rothman’s heated cabin beginning in January of 2017.
