Linvilla Orchards
A 300-acre family farm dedicated to agriculture, entertainment and education
Description
Pumpkinland
Through November 6, Linvilla Orchards transforms into Pumpkinland. Massive scarecrows and fall figures mark the beginning of the harvest season as over 100 tons of pumpkins sprout up in piles around the landscape.
The celebration continues through September and October with live music and entertainment, corn and straw mazes, train rides, pony rides, face paining and more.
Families can pick-their-own apples, check out the costume parade or head out on a scenic hayride.

The Experience
Visit Linvilla to pick your own fresh fruits and vegetables or stop by the farm’s market. Throughout the growing season, kids can visit with the farm animals, catch a big fish in Orchard Lake or play in the “Playland” Playground.
Celebrate the strawberry, blueberry, tomato, peach, sweet corn and apple crops with annual festivals, which feature games, contests, music and costumed characters. If you’re interested in a walk, you can pick up the townships’s Indian Trail system from the farm trails that bisect the property.
More than 300 acres of land make up Linvilla Orchards, one of the last working farms in Delaware County. This unique position has influenced the Linvills to try to impart a very experiential farm on their visitors.
A great family attraction, Linvilla Orchards especially wants to educate and entertain their young visitors. They want children to experience what it’s like to pick your own fruit and vegetables; to realize that apples and peaches grow on trees and that strawberries and blueberries grow on the ground; to see how big horses actually are, and to hear firsthand the noises that chickens, pigs and other farm animals make!
Linvilla hosts a variety of family-friendly events and festivals throughout the year that are usually themed according to the produce of the season. Hayrides, tours, fruit and vegetable picking and swimming are offered daily in season.
Linvilla’s farm market, open daily, has earned a well-deserved reputation for fresh fruits and vegetables, as well as for delicious home baked treats — it’s become a destination for local gourmets in and of itself.
