VISIT PHILADELPHIA® has been recognized by The Philadelphia Inquirer with the publication’s Diversity & Inclusion Award for Outstanding Association, for its commitment to diverse marketing. In their inaugural year, the awards honor individuals and organizations that create and support diversity, equality and inclusion in the workplace. Other winners in the Outstanding Association category include PHL Diversity and Prospanica Philadelphia.

“Our commitment to inviting all people to Philadelphia is the reason for our tourism successes,” said Jeff Guaracino, president and CEO, VISIT PHILADELPHIA. “In 2018 alone, 45 million visitors of all ages, races and identities came to experience Philadelphia, and we’re proud to be a region that welcomes all.”

A History Of Diverse Marketing:

For 23 years, VISIT PHILADELPHIA has consistently embraced diverse travelers, from the organization’s first campaign, This Is My Philadelphia, to subsequent campaigns such as Philadelphia – Get Your History Straight and Your Nightlife Gay®, We Got You and Con Carino, Philadelphia XOXO, an adaptation of the popular With Love, Philadelphia XOXO®. Just this year, VISIT PHILADELPHIA debuted two powerful efforts: Philadelphia Pioneers On The Road To Stonewall, which marked the 50th anniversary of Stonewall, and Filadelfia – You Gotta Feel It, a campaign to attract Latinx travelers.
