Like its sister hotel in Old City, Lokal Fishtown goes above and beyond to make its guests feel at home.
The boutique hotel sits on Front Street in Fishtown, steps away from the neighborhood’s thriving main thoroughfare — Frankford Avenue — and close to many popular restaurants, bars, venues and shops.
The hotel’s six thoughtfully designed apartments feature stylish decor and a range of fantastic amenities that help guests experience Philadelphia like a local.
The team at True Hand Society is responsible for Lokal Fishtown’s aesthetically pleasing, modern Scandinavian interior design. Most of the furnishings are made by Philly-area designers and craftspeople.
Of the six apartments, four are one-bedroom studios and two are large two-bedroom apartments. The two-bedroom apartments are bi-level and each occupies more than 1,000 square feet.
Two accessible units are situated on the ground floor and a common area for laundry is located in the basement.
Outside the back of the building, guests can relax and mingle in a shared, private courtyard space.

Lokal Fishtown uses top-notch technology to provide what the hotel calls “invisible service” for visitors, to help them feel more like they’re at home and not at a hotel.
Similar to the Lokal concept in Old City, there’s no front desk. Guests check into their amenity-rich room using an electronic entrance system.
An in-room iPad with multiple “room service” apps allows guests to order food, groceries and more, giving them the option to charge all purchases directly to the room. The iPad can also be used to contact staff and the service team for additional needs.
Rooms also come equipped with a full kitchen, flat-screen smart TV with Netflix and HBO GO, high-speed internet access, Spotify, a Sonos Playbar and Apple TV.
A curated recommendation manual — available digitally on the iPad and in print in each room — provides insight on all the fantastic things to see and do in the neighborhood and beyond.
The Visit Philly Overnight Package — booked more than 190,000 times since 2001 — comes with free hotel parking (worth up to $100 in Center City Philadelphia) and overnight hotel accommodations.
