VISIT PHILADELPHIA® today announced that its chief of staff, Michael Newmuis, has been honored with a place on two notable lists: the Philadelphia Business Journal’s “40 Under 40” for 2022 and City & State Pennsylvania’s “2022 Pride Power 100.”
The Philadelphia Business Journal’s 39 honorees were selected by the publication’s editors from 340 nominations made by the public. Despite the honorees’ different professions — lawyers, doctors, real-estate brokers, nonprofit leaders and more — each are established in their careers and have already made significant impacts on the Philadelphia region.
Newmuis also landed a spot on City & State Pennsylvania’s “2022 Pride Power 100,” featuring the most influential LGBTQ figures who strive to create safe spaces and remove the limits for current and future generations.
“I wanted a career that boosted civic pride, and I found it through destination marketing and economic development. It’s inspiring to see the ripple effects that benefit communities when VISIT PHILADELPHIA succeeds,” said Newmuis. “We support workers, businesses and the quality of life for residents, and that makes me really proud. To impact Philadelphia for the better is my dream.”
