Overview

Looking for a new trail to bike? Walk? Run? Or to simply enjoy and explore?

The Greater Philadelphia region provides plenty of options for pedaling around on your bike or strolling through nature in your sneakers via The Circuit Trails, one of the largest trail networks in the country.

Currently in the process of expanding, The Circuit Trails include a combined 300 miles of multi-use paths and routes that connect the area’s local communities and provide endless opportunities for recreation and commuting. An additional 50 miles are in progress.

When complete, the Circuit will include 750 miles of trails in total, crossing the nine-county region of Southeastern Pennsylvania and South New Jersey.

The Experience

When complete, the Circuit will include 750 miles of trails.

Some of Philadelphia’s most iconic trails, including the Manayunk Bridge Trail, Schuylkill River Trail, Schuylkill Boardwalk, Pennypack Trail, Cooper River Trail and Forbidden Drive, are currently part of the Circuit.

The Circuit Trails also connect to the East Coast Greenway, which links Philadelphia north through New York City to Calais, Maine and south through Washington, DC to Key West, Florida.

Don’t Miss

Want to find a trail near you or a new path for carrying out your favorite recreational pursuit? The Circuit Trails’ Trail Finder allows visitors to explore trail options by county and view details of each path, including mileage, scenery and more.
