Philadelphia’s game-changing restaurant scene has once again caught the eye of Food & Wine.
The publication just announced the honorees for the third-annual Food & Wine Global Tastemakers awards, and several Philly spots —including, yes, the entire city — have been named among the best of the best in culinary travel.
Each year, Food & Wine taps more than 400 food and travel experts — we’re talking chefs, wine professionals, writers and travel pros — and its Global Advisory Board to weigh in on the world’s top dining and travel destinations for the Global Tastemakers awards.
The City of Brotherly Love rose to the top in not one, not two, but three of the award’s major categories.
Move over New York and Chicago, there’s a new addition to Food & Wine’s list of the top 10 cities that define dining in the United States.

Philly’s first entry onto the coveted list honors our “scrappy city’s culinary ingenuity” and highlights the breadth of Philly’s culinary community, which ranges from cheesesteaks at Angelo’s to Thai cuisine at Kalaya to creative cocktails at Friday Saturday Sunday.
Right at home alongside national names like Emeril’s in New Orleans, My Loup — Amanda Shulman and Alex Kemp’s Rittenhouse Square restaurant — takes the No. 8 spot on the magazine’s list of the top 15 restaurants in the U.S. with its seasonal menu of French-Canadian market fare.
Set 60 stories above the city, SkyHigh at the Four Seasons lands on Food & Wine’s list of the top 10 hotel bars in the nation, with the magazine citing both its dreamy ambiance and its repertoire of elevated classic cocktails as standout features.

The region has racked up a ton of accolades in 2025. Philly was recently recognized as the best city for street art by USA Today 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards (again) and, of course, Superbowl Champions.
Meanwhile, local attraction Longwood Gardens claimed a spot on Time’s list of the 100 greatest places in the world (yep, the whole world) and Citizens Bank Park scored a homerun, winning the title of the Best MLB Stadium in the nation.
