Overview

Opened just in time for the 250th anniversary of the United States, the Philly Pride Visitor Center serves as a welcoming hub for LGBTQ+ resources and travel-planning services.

Located in the Gayborhood — at the heart of Midtown Village — the center stands as one of America’s first visitor centers dedicated to LGBTQ+ visitors and allies.

The Philly Pride Visitor Center is located at S. 12th and Locust streets, and is open on select days as of February 25, 2026.

The Philly Pride Visitor Center aims to communicate an authentic sense of belonging — no matter your background — while offering trusted resources to experience the best of Philadelphia and reaffirming the city as a welcoming place for all.

Visitors to the center can:

access comprehensive visitor services, including itinerary planning, attraction ticketing, travel information, and resources like maps and guides,
learn about Philly’s pioneering role in the fight for equal rights, and
discover LGBTQ-friendly experiences, businesses, cultural institutions and other destinations — both in Philadelphia and across Pennsylvania.

The Philly Pride Visitor Center also includes a curated gift shop featuring local art, merchandise and souvenirs by local LGBTQ+ creators.

Stamp Your Pride Passport

Visit two national historic sites and take home a free gift!

Stamp your ticket for LGBTQ+ history — and really neat swag — with the Pride Passport, a brand-new collaboration between the Philly Pride Visitor Center, right here in the Gayborhood, and the Stonewall National Monument Visitor Center in New York City. How does it work? Glad you asked!

Step 1: Pick up your free passport from either site, beginning June 1, 2026.
Step 2: Visit both locations before the end of the year and collect a stamp at each.
Step 3: Show your completed passport to staff at either visitor center location to score a limited-edition Baron Von Steuben tote bag and rock it with pride.

Important moments in America’s LGBTQ+ history took place in Philadelphia, from the nation’s first LGBTQ+ civil rights sit-in at Dewey’s Restaurant in 1965 to the Annual Reminders at Independence Hall — the earliest public demonstrations for gay rights in the United States.
