Overview

Woody’s is an LGBTQ+ bar and dance club in the heart of Midtown Village.

For over four decades, this 21-and-over Gayborhood staple has served as a national LGBTQ+ landmark and as a space for Philly’s dynamic LGBTQ+ community. (Straight allies welcome.)

Made up of two floors and five distinctive spaces, Woody’s includes an open pub bar, a main dance floor and three themed party lounges, each featuring music ranging from EDM and hip-hop to pop DJ remixes to disco throwbacks.

Woody’s also hosts special events throughout the year.

The Experience

Woody’s is a five-part nightlife experience.

The airy pub bar at the entrance is home to 30-plus beers on tap and, before 10 p.m., a handful of light bites available to order (think: wings, tenders and tots). Above the bar, big screens show anything from music videos to sports games.

Upstairs, the main dance floor bursts to life each weekend with entertainment, dance remixes and electrifying light effects.

For a more intimate experience, The Suite, Woody’s Hollywood glitz-and-glamour-inspired dance lounge, spins hip-hop, Latin and pop tracks and is a prime spot for private events.

Rosewood, Woody’s chic Art Deco-inspired cocktail lounge (accessible via an outdoor secret passage), regularly features creative handcrafted concoctions and live DJs.

And Glöbar, adjacent to the main building on 13th & Walnut Streets, serves as Woody’s newest dance party lounge, slinging cocktails and Top 40 remixes all night long.
