Two pieces of awesome news for Philly’s bagel lovers: The doughy goodness at Philly Style Bagels makes the list of best bagels in the country and the Fishtown shop is expanding to Old City.
Food & Wine released its Best Bagels in America list in early March and of course Philly Style Bagels is on there.
The shop, which started as a pop up inside the original Pizzeria Beddia location, has been serving its wood-fired beer-based bagels from a tiny shop overlooking Palmer Park since 2016.
After closing temporarily in late January, Philly Style Bagels announced over the weekend that the Fishtown location will reopen this week. Pro tip: Since the shop is carryout only, the park is the perfect spot for a picnic.
Plus, the team is expanding to a second location in Old City.
Bagels for everyone!
