Can we call it an annual tradition yet?

For the fourth year in a row, Philadelphia finds itself in the midst of Red October, with the National League East champion Philadelphia Phillies headed to the National League Division Series (NLDS).

The team faces the Los Angeles Dodgers when they kick off the playoff series at home at Citizens Bank Park on Saturday, October 4, 2025.

By now, you know the drill. Gather your friends and put on your jerseys as you watch the Phillies do “whatever the hell it takes” to make it to the World Series and bring home another title.

The Red October Bus Tour kicked off the celebration this week with a rally to root for the Phils, as local restaurants, bars and shops start gearing up to host and feed fans during another Red October.

Here’s a roundup of the best Phillies watch parties, promos, pop ups, food and drink specials, places to watch the games, and where to find the best game-day grub and gear.

Note: We’ll be adding more information throughout the playoffs, so check back often.

The answers to your burning questions ...
01

When are the games?

The Phillies kick off the series on home turf at Citizens Bank Park, facing the Los Angeles Dodgers on Saturday, October 4, 2025.

The first team to win three games of the best-of-five series will then head to the best-of-seven National League Championship Series (NLCS), which will then decide who plays in the World Series.

Here’s the breakdown of upcoming games, with some times still yet to be determined:

  • Game 1: In Philadelphia, Saturday, October 4, 2025, at 6:38 p.m.
  • Game 2: In Philadelphia, Monday, October 6, 2025, at 6:08 p.m.
  • Game 3: In Los Angeles, Wednesday, October 8, 2025
  • Game 4: In Los Angeles, Thursday, October 9, 2025, if necessary
  • Game 5: In Philadelphia, Saturday, October 11, 2025, if necessary

The Phillies need a total of seven more wins to head to the World Series, and 11 more to become world champions.

We don’t want to jinx them, but if the Phils make it to the World Series, the first game is scheduled for Friday, October 24, 2025, with a tentative Game 7 on November 1, 2025.

How can I get tickets?

That’s the question on everybody’s mind. Those of you lucky enough to have season tickets will have the easiest time securing seats for the playoffs.

If you aren’t a season ticket holder, you’ll need to register for the opportunity to buy a ticket. If you get selected through the lottery, you’ll get an invite to purchase tickets.

If you don’t get picked in the drawing, you can always try to buy resale tickets on SeatGeek, the Phillies’ official partner for resale tickets.

How can I watch?

If you aren’t able to score tickets, you’ll still be able to watch and cheer on the home team. This round of the playoffs will be broadcast on TBS, but you can also watch through a variety of streaming services, such as MLB.TV.

Or, you can always find a Phillies watch party or head to one of Philly’s many sports bars to catch the games. See more on that below.

Success in the postseason is all about fundamentals. Don’t overthink it: Stick to the basics, and grab Philly’s most famous sandwich at one of the spots below, or check out our full guide to where to find the best cheesesteaks in Philadelphia:

  • Angelo’s Pizzeria South Philadelphia: Yes, the pizza is great, but this South Philly shop also serves up some of the best cheesesteaks around. Finely sliced steak, onions and gooey cheese (your choice of Whiz, cooper sharp, American or provolone) are piled high on a seeded Sarcone’s Bakery roll.
  • Dalessandro’s Steaks & Hoagies: The lines snake around the corner daily with people in search of cheesesteaks at this Roxborough steak and hoagie shop. Dalessandro’s offers 19 different versions, from traditional beef to a variety of chicken cheesesteaks. They also have an extensive hoagie menu.
  • Pat’s King of Steaks: The original home of the cheesesteak, this spot’s claim to fame is that its founder, Pat Olivieri, invented the steak sandwich in 1930. Since then, Pat’s has grown from a little stand at the southern end of South Philly’s Italian Market to one of the most famous cheesesteak shops in the world.
  • Geno’s Steaks: It may be across the street from the oldest cheesesteak joint in town, but Geno’s Steaks remains a formidable competitor, going roll-for-roll with Pat’s for decades and fueling friendly competition at the cheesesteak capital of the world. The key to success for the 24/7 spot? Quality thinly sliced rib-eye steak for maximum juiciness, the freshest of onions and house-made bread. Oh, and you can’t miss it: Just follow the neon lights.
