Fall in Philly Photo Contest

There’s nothing quite like fall in the Philadelphia region. The air is crisp, the leaves are colorful, and the city and region are alive with seasonal festivals filled with all of our fall favorites: apple- and pumpkin-picking, hayrides galore, haunted houses and so much more.

Could there be a better time to photograph our beautiful home? We think not.

That’s why VISIT PHILADELPHIA® and PHL Shooters are teaming up for the Fall in Philly Photo Contest.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for images that show off the diversity and beauty of the Philadelphia five-county region (Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery and Philadelphia counties) during the most colorful time of year. Here are some questions to consider as you comb your archives or plan new shoots:

• Might this scene compel someone to visit Philadelphia?
• Does the scene provoke wonder? Would people be surprised that this place exists in Philadelphia?
• Does this photo give a great sense of place?
• Does the photo show off the diversity of Philadelphia’s people and experiences?
• Does the photo show people experiencing Philadelphia as tourists?

Criteria

• Originality
• Creativity
• Quality of presentation
• How well the entry captures Philadelphia in the fall

How to Enter

From October 11 through October 24, 2021, simply post your photo or photos on Instagram, using #fallinphillyphotocontest.

Timing

• October 11-24, 2021: Shooting/submission period
• On or about October 25, 2021: Winners selected
• On or about November 1: Winners announced

Prizes

We’ll award three prizes for the contest, but all high-resolution, model-released images submitted will be considered for purchase by VISIT PHILADELPHIA. You can download our model release form below.

First Prize

• Overnight hotel stay, The Logan
• Two tickets for the Barnes Foundation
• Two tickets for The Franklin Institute
• Two tickets for Halloween Nights at Eastern State Penitentiary
• Photo featured on VisitPhilly.com and Visit Philly Instagram accounts and PHL Shooters Instagram
• Access to Assembly Rooftop Lounge for sunrise or sunset shots of the Ben Franklin Parkway

Second Prize

• $250 Suraya gift card
• Two tickets for The Philadelphia Zoo
• Two tickets for the Museum of the American Revolution
• Photo featured on VisitPhilly.com and Visit Philly Instagram accounts and PHL Shooters Instagram

Third Prize

• Two tickets for Beautiful: The Carole King Musical, Academy of Music
