There’s no better place to watch playoff baseball than at Citizens Bank Park (CBP). The atmosphere in South Philly has been other-worldly during the 2022 playoffs, with rally-towel-waving fans seemingly willing the team to victory night after night.

The Phils and Astros split games one and two in Houston, leaving the series tied at 1-1 ahead of games three (Monday), four (Tuesday) and five (Wednesday), all taking place in South Philadelphia.

The series shifts back to Houston for games six and seven (if necessary) on Friday, November 4 and Saturday, November 5, 2022.

How to Attend a World Series Game at Citizens Bank Park

CBP will be rocking in the World Series as the home crowd looks to keep the Phils’ undefeated home postseason streak intact.

As expected, tickets are in extremely high demand. The Phillies held a raffle for the opportunity to purchase World Series tickets on Wednesday, October 26, 2022. Raffle winners were notified via email on Thursday, October 27, 2022.

The Rally for Red October Bus Tour and World Series Block Party

Ahead of the Phils’ big World Series games at Citizens Bank Park, The Rally for Red October returns to hype up the Phillies faithful.

On Monday, October 31 at 11:15 a.m., fans can head to the Comcast Center Plaza for a chance to sign the rally bus and score an exclusive cheer poster. From noon to 1 p.m., the bus — with the Phillie Phanatic and Phillies Ballgirls aboard — zips through the streets of Center City, waving to fans along the way.

And, from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. before each home game, the three-hour-long World Series Block Party on Citizens Bank Way (just outside of Citizens Bank Park) offers everything from live performances to a Ferris wheel to local food trucks — no tickets required.

Chickie’s & Pete’s super-sized South Philly location — a short walk from Citizens Bank Park — boasts three bars, a 14-foot television (perfectly sized for armchair umpires) and the venue’s signature Crabfries®. • Geno’s Steaks: It may be across the street from the oldest cheesesteak joint in town, but Geno’s Steaks is a formidable competitor, going roll-for-roll with Pat’s for decades and fueling friendly competition at the cheesesteak capital of the world. The key to success for the 24/7 spot? Quality thinly sliced rib-eye steak for maximum juiciness, the freshest of onions and house-made bread. Oh, and you can’t miss it, with neon lights beckoning curious travelers (1219 S. 9th Street).
• Tony & Nick’s: Every sandwich at Tony and Nick’s Steaks — formerly the original location of Tony Luke’s — is worth digging your teeth into. The restaurant — located next to an I-95 overpass on Oregon Avenue in South Philadelphia — is perfectly located for a stop on your way to tailgate (39 E. Oregon Avenue).
• Milkboy: Both Milkboy locations are serving up The Red October Cheesesteak during all World Series games. The behemoth sandwich — clocking in at an impressive 24 inches long — is topped with long hot aioli, provolone cheese and pickled jalapeños. It is split into eight pieces for easy sharing with the rest of your lineup (Milkboy Philly, 1100 Chestnut Street & Milkboy South Street, 401 South Street).

Hoagies

The Phillies are on a roll. And so are these delicious Philly sandwiches that come piled high with meat, cheese and all all the fixins. • Cosmi’s Deli: Open since 1932, this tiny corner deli in South Philly churns out some of the best cheesesteaks, hoagies and roast pork sandwiches in Philadelphia. With more than a dozen hoagies on the menu, it can be tough to choose. Order a hoagie tray to sample them all (1501 South 8th Street).
• Fink’s: Self-dubbed the “King of Gourmet Hoagies,” Fink’s offers its signature hoagie (helpfully named Fink’s Signature Hoagie) with two secret weapons: coteghino (fresh pork sausage) and a secret olive spread. The other gourmet hoagies, named for Northeast neighborhoods, similarly elevate traditional recipes with creative touches. Pretzels
