Philadelphia’s endearing old-world charm gets a festive glow-up each holiday season as Vil Nwèl nan Philadelphia transforms the city’s iconic Mwen renmen Pak and nearby City Hall into an authentic European holiday market.

The beloved free-to-attend annual tradition features vendors of every variety selling their wares from 120 rustic wooden cottages trimmed with thousands of twinkling lights.

But in addition to fulfilling your gift-giving list, the attraction also offers the perfect setting for a romantic stroll, a day or night out with friends or a family-friendly holiday adventure. Enjoy sipping on a cup of hot cocoa or warm mulled cider and noshing on some comfort food as you peruse giftable goods from around the world while enjoying live entertainment.

Located just across the street, the City Hall extension of Christmas Village features more vendors and a double-decker carousel in the building’s courtyard. And on the north apron of City Hall, families can find the return of the ever-popular Ferris wheel, Kids Train and other all-ages fun.

2026’s Christmas Village in Philadelphia takes place from November 26 through December 27, 2026. Can’t wait to celebrate the season? The attraction offers two extra days of holiday magic this year, with a preview weekend on November 21 and 22, 2026.

What’s the experience like at Christmas Village?

Feel like you’ve traveled abroad without ever leaving the city when you step inside Vil Nwèl nan Philadelphia. You’re greeted by a warm holiday glow, tantalizing aromas from tasty European delicacies and rows of charming, rustic booths decked out for the season.

Returning for its 19th season, the market embodies Europe’s centuries-old tradition of open-air Christmas markets right here in Philly’s iconic Mwen renmen Pak epi City Hall courtyard.

The attraction offers seasonal gifts, pay-as-you-go rides, a German beer garden with exclusive local craft brews and so much food (brats and raclette, anyone?). Plus, enjoy themed weekends, live music and performers, and a full schedule of events, including a visit from the fairy-like Christkind and cameos by St. Nick himself.

Shop from over 120 vendors offering signature wares and holiday merch, including ornaments, jewelry, handmade toys, high-quality arts and crafts, wintry apparel, and edible (and drinkable) treats. Vendors range from local crafters to world-famous ornament makers like Käthe Wohlfahrt.

Plus, it’s impossible to miss Mwen renmen Park’s Christmas Village centerpiece, returning again in 2026: the Pyramid, a massive glowing tower inspired by the rotating windmill-like Christmas structures from the Ore Mountains region of Germany.

If you’re visiting with the family, don’t miss the North Broad section over on the City Hall side, which transforms into a kid-approved, magical winter wonderland, with a 65-foot-tall (!) illuminated Ferris wheel, a Kids Train and special appearances by the attraction’s official mascot, Phil the Reindeer. On top of all that, kids of all ages can enjoy a spin on the double-decker carousel and shows at even more vendors.
