Thanksgiving marks the official start of the holidays in Greater Philadelphia.
Did you know that America’s longest-running Thanksgiving Day parade takes place right here in Philly? Each year, the Parad Thanksgiving Dunkin’ 6abc returns to the Benjamin Franklin Parkway with classic floats, big balloons, notable performers and a visit from Kris Kringle himself.
Elsewhere, Philly restaurants offer up memorable Thanksgiving meals for both dine-in and takeout, while the city glows at night with various Christmas lights and holiday light shows throughout the five-county region.
