Winter at Dilworth Park
When the temperatures dip and the nights get long, Dilworth Park transforms into a luminous winter wonderland, with a bedecked City Hall as the iconic backdrop.
Located in the heart of Center City, this must-visit seasonal tradition includes five different holiday attractions. Residents and visitors can:
Rothman Orthopaedics Ice Rink
The outdoor Rothman Orthopaedics Ice Rink is a delightful wintertime destination next to City Hall, open from November 4, 2022 through February 26, 2023.

The rink offers timed tickets, good for 90-minute skating sessions. Guests are encouraged to purchase tickets online, with walk-up in-person sales based on availability.
Accessible sled skating is also offered from January 2 to February 26, 2023.
Rink admission is $8 for adults and $5 for kids 10 and under. Skate rentals and lockers are also available for $10 each.
Rothman Orthopaedics Cabin
Located right next to the Rothman Orthopaedics Ice Rink, the Rothman Orthopaedics Cabin offers a cozy après-skate spot for snacks, cocktails, beer and hot drinks from November 4, 2022 through February 26, 2023.
Also awaiting visitors: a front-row view of the skaters, as well as fire pits on the PNC Terrace.
Wintergarden on the Greenfield Lawn
The Wintergarden on the Greenfield Lawn adds a bit of festive greenery to the southern end of Dilworth Park from November 1, 2022 through March 26, 2023.
Twinkling lights illuminate the rustic arbor, whimsical reindeer topiaries and seasonal plantings.
Guests are welcome to stroll through or stop for a respite with some warm mulled wine from the Chaddsford Winery kiosk.

Made in Philadelphia Holiday Market
Shopping local and supporting area makers is easy at the Made in Philadelphia Holiday Market, running from November 19, 2022 to January 1, 2023.
On offer: handmade crafts, jewelry, clothing, home décor and treats from more than 40 local vendors scattered throughout the park.
Deck the Hall Holiday Light Show
This mesmerizing display brightens the western façade of City Hall nightly.

Technicolor projections — created by Philadelphia-based Klip Collective and synchronized to captivating sound effects — make the historic building come alive during this completely free show.
The Deck the Hall Holiday Light Show plays at the top of every hour —from 5 p.m to 9 p.m. — daily from November 21, 2022 through January 1, 2023.
Dilworth Park is situated above one of SEPTA’s main public transportation hubs, making it super easy for visitors to get to this winter wonderland and the rest of the holiday festivities near City Hall. (More on that below.)
Passengers can take buses, subways or trolleys to City Hall/15th Street Station and exit right into the heart of the festivities. Regional Rail trains are located just a block away at Suburban Station.
Dilworth Park is in the heart of Center City and within walking distance of many top Philadelphia attractions and hotels. Bike-share stations and paid parking lots are located nearby.

More than 110 vendors await at the open-air Christmas Village in Philadelphia, also based at City Hall, as well as across the street at LOVE Park. In addition to holiday shopping and festive eating and drinking, be sure to check out the Holiday Tree (set to be installed on November 9, 2022), a Ferris wheel, a kiddie train and a double-decker carousel.

Just a three-minute walk east of Dilworth Park, the Christmas Light Show and Dickens Village at Macy’s offers twinkling snowflakes, dancing snowmen and more during a free 100,000-light show narrated by Julie Andrews that’s become a Philadelphia institution since debuting in 1956. It runs twice a day from Monday through Thursday and five times a day on weekends.
Lastly, The Comcast Holiday Spectacular returns to the Comcast Center, which is just a six-minute walk from Dilworth Park. This 15-minute annual (and free!) super high-res LED holiday show combines performances from the Philadelphia Ballet with classic holiday songs and a magical sleigh ride over the city. Shows run daily at the top of every hour from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., with sensory-friendly shows on offer every Thursday and Friday at 2:30 p.m. (and upon request).
