Chestnut Hill Home and Garden Festival
Embrace spring on Germantown Avenue during the annual Chestnut Hill Home and Garden Festival.
Home and garden design and supplies take the spotlight at this free-to-attend, pay-as-you-go fest, which runs along Germantown Avenue in the heart of Chestnut Hill.
Thousands of fellow garden enthusiasts come out every year to explore the plants, crafts and artwork from more than 250 vendors — the biggest Home and Garden Festival yet.
An assortment of vegetation, including terrariums and vegetable plants, is on display along with decor such as handmade furniture, garden art, locally made accessories, statues and vintage goods.
This year’s Home and Garden Festival takes place Sunday, May 7, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Germantown Avenue in Chestnut Hill transforms into an outdoor marketplace complete with plants, shopping, activities and more at the Chestnut Hill Home and Garden Festival.
This year, look forward to highlights such as the Maker’s Village, which puts on live demos like stained glass-making and make-and-take sewing projects for kids, and the Sustainability Hub, which features sustainably produced goods and promotes a more eco-friendly Philly. Plus, a number of Chestnut Hill’s top restaurants offer bites throughout the day and live music takes place on two different stages.
During the festival, families can also enjoy the kid-friendly Jenks Fun Zone at the Jenks Academy Schoolyard, which features carnival games, dance performances, inflatable slides and a DJ.
