It’s here and it’s glorious.
FIFA Fan Festival has officially taken over Lemon Hill in East Fairmount Park.
This is now the place where people can go to bask in the energy of FIFA World Cup 26 and enjoy a free, 39-day watch party — complete with giant screens broadcasting live matches, food and beverage vendors, live music and entertainment, and international cultural events.
Oh, and Philly just so happens to be the only U.S. city hosting a Fan Fest for all 39 days of the tournament. (In other words, it’s the party of the year.)
All match-day access to the Fan Festival remains free and open to the public, but registration is recommended, while non-match days feature ticketed concerts, community events and cultural programming.
Note: Fan Fest organizers are limiting entry to 15,000 fans per day to keep the festival convivial and fun.
The FIFA Fan Festival — open rain or shine, weather permitting — runs daily through Sunday, July 19, 2026.

Hey, it’s Mike Greger. I recently toured the grounds — OK, more like wandered aimlessly-yet-eagerly into a soccer paradise — of FIFA Fan Festival at Lemon Hill.
I went there (admittedly, as a newbie soccer fan with no preconceived notions) to experience this global event firsthand and find out what all the scuttlebutt was about.
Honestly, the scene was like nothing I’ve ever witnessed … which is saying something coming from a recovering sports journalist.
It truly was a prideful, unifying celebration, filled with can’t-miss cultural moments and an unforgettably infectious match-day atmosphere.

Oh, and tons of perfectly subtle nods to Philadelphia through music, food, drink, marketplace vendors and free swag. I’ll say it again: free swag.
Note: It would be remiss of me not to mention that I live down the street in Brewerytown, an often underappreciated (and awesome) neighborhood that deserves this proud moment!
Here’s my list of five experiences you need to know and check out.
The atmosphere on the lawn at Fan Fest is the closest thing you’re going to get to being inside the stadium.
There are three distinct viewing areas at Fan Festival, highlighted by a main stage which broadcasts live matches on a 60-foot LED screen.
There are also two auxiliary screens on the grounds. One near the Lemon Hill Mansion (complete with tables), another in between the FIFA Fan Store and Visit PA booth (complete with Adirondack chairs).
Back to the main stage where — wait for the best part— live matches are presented without commercials or announcers. That means you can see and hear actual game sounds (note: vuvuzelas aren’t allowed at Fan Fest) while overhearing diehard fans debate whether to trot down to the Rocky Statue and drape it in their colors.
(Spoiler alert: Do not mess with Rocky. Ever. There are severe consequences!)
Pro tip: Bring a blanket to sit on and an empty water bottle (one per person).
Outside of watch parties, there is pageantry at Lemon Hill. Latin pop star Luis Fonsi headlined the opening night concert, right before Mexico topped South Africa 2-0 to kick the tournament off. Everett Jackson, known as Mr. Hollywood DJ, is the festival’s resident DJ.
Remember: This is a once-in-a-lifetime event. You’re going to want to hit the FIFA Team Store for souvenirs.
The official merch tent, encompassing 10,000 square feet, is a great place to cool off as air conditioning blows on mannequins adorned in jerseys — known in soccer circles as kits.
All 48 teams competing in the tourney are represented, from various brands like Puma, Adidas, Nike, Marathon, Majid and more.
There are also limited-edition Philly-specific shirts and hoodies, as well as the host city scarf reading, “We are Philadelphia.”
At the store, I asked a salesperson named Robyn where I can find an Ivory Coast jersey in size medium before the topic turned to cheesesteaks. She heard Max’s Steaks was legit, and I encouraged her to go check it out while guiding her on how to use the word “jawn.”
The most popular place at Fan Fest is the Bank of America booth, where people are going crazy for free, customizable FIFA World Cup 26 charm bracelets. Yes, 100% free swag … that you’ll want to wear. Here’s how it works:

Another can’t-miss spot: The Philly Phestival Marketplace, located outside the festival’s main entrance, which is a creator’s paradise. Look for special wares from local vendors, like Integrity Hair Care, Buddha Babe, Glitterbrush Face Painting and Repleo Boutique.
Remember, Lemon Hill is in the middle of a vibrant city, one that prides itself on quirky, charming neighborhoods. Before or after your Fan Fest experience, Eexplore nearby Fairmount and Brewerytown for an authentic slice of Philly life.
Fan Fest offers a rotating lineup of Philly-born food stalls — dubbed Philly Phlavor — that line the yard at Lemon Hill. Dre’s Water Ice and Ice Cream is emerging as a crowd favorite, especially in the soupy weather boiling over during the first few days of the festival.
El Merkury, a hot spot for Central American street foods, was another spot drawing lines, as well as Pat’s King of Steaks for those looking to knock a cheesesteak off the Philly bucket list. Keep an eye out for Philly Fry and Ravioli Remix for creative spins on French fries and ravioli, respectively.
The Michelob Ultra beer garden and Casamigos stand — try the Spicy Crafted Margarita, kicked up with a hint of jalapeño — are great options for alcoholic beverages. There are lots of shady spots to enjoy whatever you’re sipping on.
Interactivity is on display everywhere. From the charging lockers and hydration stations to a pre-registration process (15,000 fans get in every day) that drops free tickets in your mobile wallet, organizers want fans digitally invested.
Stroll over to the Coca-Cola booth to create a “Most Valuable Fan” card, then hit up the Kia booth to make a player card. It asks you to input your stats before snapping a photo of you in your favorite national team kit. And make sure to spin the Visit PA prize wheel.
Oh, wait, you want to take the pitch? Done.

The one question everyone keeps asking: What’s the best comparison? Is FIFA Fan Fest more of an Eagles tailgate or a Sons of Ben party?
It’s neither.
This is a global event on a massive scale, with flag-waving ceremonies and international chants breaking out on a whim.
At Fan Fest, the vibe really depends on who’s playing. There’s often a wide swath of national colors on display, from Mexico to Germany to France — everyone loves Mbappe (his jersey is everywhere!) — to the United States.
I was there the afternoon before the Ecuador vs. Ivory Coast match, so it was a sea of yellow. Chants of “Vamos Ecuatorianos” rained down in unison, with costumed fans dancing the “Zapateando Juyayay.”
General admission to the FIFA Fan Fest is free and open to the public, but there are a few things to know before you go.
Tickets to the Fan Fest are 100% free, but those planning to participate should register in advance for each individual day through the official Philadelphia Soccer 2026 site.
Registrants may be expected to show tickets before entering the secure Fan Fest perimeter.
The festival schedule details the opening and closing hours of each day of Fan Fest, centered around Fan Fest’s live performances and the broadcasting schedules of the World Cup games.
On match days, the festival grounds open one hour before the first game and close one hour after the last match. On non-match days, the programming for that day determines the schedule, with the Philadelphia Soccer 2026 website posting the most up-to-date timing information.
Additionally, FIFA Fan Fest hours are subject to change due to inclement weather events. Translation: Always check the day’s hours of operation on the official website or on Philadelphia Soccer’s Instagram before heading out.

City officials and organizers urge festivalgoers to find a way to arrive on foot, as much of the area closes to traffic during Fan Fest. However, you’ve got plenty of options for getting to all the action.
Philly PHLASH might be the easiest way to get there, especially with its brand-new stop created just to shuttle visitors to FIFA Fan Fest. The 2026 Downtown Loop adds PHLASH Stop 9 at Pennsylvania and Fairmount avenues (with just a quick walk from there to Lemon Hill). An all-day PHLASH pass costs $5, while SEPTA passholders, seniors and kids under four can ride for free.
Riders can purchase PHLASH passes online, at a visitor center or with exact cash while boarding. Check out our 2026 PHLASH guide here.
SEPTA is also offering increased access on several bus routes, including the 32 and 48, which both stop at Pennsylvania and Fairmount avenues. Plus, the 7 and 49 bus routes have several stops in the Fairmount neighborhood, also within walking distance of Lemon Hill.
Note: SEPTA’s normal $2.90 one-way base fare remains unchanged during the games.
Bicyclists can look for bike valets to secure their ride while celebrating, with bike parking available at Lloyd Hall Recreation Center and at the festival’s Indego Station Hub.
Attendees walking to the event can find small pop-up visitor centers along the route between Center City and Lemon Hill. Located at LOVE Park, Eakins Oval, Lloyd Hall and Logan Square, these pop-up centers offer restrooms, refillable water stations, maps and general visitor information.
Foot and bike traffic along the Schuylkill River Trail remains open and accessible throughout the event.
For everyone else, rideshare via Lyft and Uber still remains an option — with limited designated pick-up and drop-off points near the festivities.
For those looking to drive to the FIFA Fan Fest, the Philadelphia Zoo is offering limited paid parking for festival attendees throughout the event.
Daytime parking is available at the Giraffe Lot on Girard Avenue, and evening parking is available at both the Zoo Garage on Girard Avenue and the Tiger Lot on 34th Street. All parking lots are a 20-minute walk to the event, and spots can be reserved in advance or on the day of.
Come early and plan ahead, as spaces are limited. General parking is strictly prohibited at Lemon Hill.
