Historic Philadelphia Block Party
The Wawa Welcome America festival continues its week-long celebration of Independence Day with the Historic Philadelphia Block Party on July 3, taking place from noon through 7 p.m.
The FREE outdoor festival features two stages to showcase an array of artists, which in past years have included a Dixieland band, barbershop quartet and actors reciting portions of historical speeches.
Also on tap: a kids’ stage and zone, beer gardens, food trucks, pop-up performances and plenty of history to take in.
Festivities fill the streets with activities for all ages.
From arts and crafts to lawn games to live music, there is plenty to partake in during Philadelphia’s Historic District Block Party.
At the center of Philadelphia’s Historic District Block Party are two different stages, hosting performers of every sort to create a day of nonstop live entertainment.
A variety of food trucks and beer gardens provide plenty of food and drink options, while balloon artists, penny farthings, stilt walkers, historical characters and a variety of other street performers add to the endless fun.
