Kick off the city’s Pride season with a massive, nonstop celebration of Philly’s vibrant Black and Brown LGBTQ+ community during Philly Black Pride.
Coinciding with the Penn Relays each year, the multiday festival draws thousands of festivalgoers to Center City for a jam-packed lineup of free and ticketed mixers, parties, educational programming and more, focusing on everything from gaming to wellness.
While centered at this year’s host hotel, the Warwick Hotel, Philly Black Pride pops up at venues across the city — from the Gayborhood to Old City — highlighting the community’s resilience and empowering LGBTQ+ people of color.
Philly Black Pride takes place April 20 through 26, 2026.
Year after year, Philly Black Pride just keeps going bigger and bigger. For Philly’s biggest year yet, a weekend — even a long one — isn’t enough time to celebrate the city’s LGBTQ+ community of color.
Themed “250 Reasons to Celebrate,” this year’s fest spans a full week and introduces a brand-new initiative, Philly Black Pride’s 250 Changemakers of Philadelphia, recognizing 250 Black and Brown LGBTQ+ Philadelphians shaping the future of their communities for the better.

Kick off the week of LGBTQ+ pride in the heart of Philadelphia at the Black Pride Flag Raising ceremony outside of City Hall. In the past, the joyful program has featured inspiring speeches, live music and more.
Who doesn’t love a good crossover moment? Later, head over to PhillyCAM for a free-with-RSVP live recording with local podcasting extraordinaires, the Hung Up and the Keepin’ It a Bean podcasts. The topic of conversation? The history of the very first Pride in Philadelphia.

May we propose a toast? Raise your glass to all the connections, wisdom and shenanigans that await you during Black Philly Pride at the Chocolate Social mixer at Little Gay Pub. Come ready to mix, mingle and make new friends with fellow changemakers, creatives, professionals and community members.
The networking continues at Marsha’s on South Street during the Black Pride Small Business Showcase hosted by Councilmember Rue Landau. Browse goods by local Black-owned LGBTQ+ small businesses and chat over refreshments. RSVP is highly encouraged.
Join Councilmember Kendra Brookes and Philly Black Pride in giving the inaugural class of 250 Changemakers of Philadelphia all of their flowers at 250 Reasons to Celebrate Black Queer Changemakers, a celebratory reception-style event inside City Hall.
Later, get your creative juices flowing at the Queerly Beloved. Talented poets, dancers, singers and more pay tribute to the artistry and resilience of the LGBTQ+ community at this free artist showcase and open mic night at Two Locals Brewing (co-sponsored by yours truly, Visit Philadelphia).
Bring in the weekend with fellow festivalgoers and the 250 Changemakers of Philadelphia at the opening reception, taking place at the fest’s homebase, the Warwick Hotel.
Meanwhile, the next generation of changemakers — young people between the ages of 14 and 23 — are in for an evening of fun, games, prizes, music and more at the Philly Black Pride Youth Party at The Attic Youth Center.
It’s denim on denim on denim (or whatever Beyoncé said) at the In Those Jeans: Denim + R&B late-night happy hour at Marsha’s. Or you can let your party-time alter ego out to play at A Hoe-Lotta Fun Vol. 10 at Warehouse on Watts or CURFEW at Broad Hall.
Saturday is prime time for festgoers. By day, dive into your wellness bag with yoga and sports at the Rooted Wellness retreat at the Phield House; bust a move at an epic day party at Woody’s; or game on at the Allied Gaymer Force Tournament at 401 N. Broad Street.
Come night, it’s time to party. Choose between nonstop dance to reggae, Afrobeats and more at The Release at Pulse Nightclub & Bar; a sex- and body-positive space to embrace yourself fully and party freely at No Face, No Case at Warehouse on Watts; or unmatched go-big-or-go-home energy at CLIMAX at World Stage (formerly World Cafe Live).
Did you think the party was over? Think again. Close out the Philly Black Pride weekend your way with your choice of day party.
Press CTRL+ALT+DELETE and reboot your life with food, drinks, throwbacks and a good two-step at The Reset at His & Hers Restaurant & Bar.
Keep calm and party on at Sunday Tea, a blockbuster indoor-outdoor bash at Fringe Bar.
Or take the energy to the streets with a popping (and free!) block party in the heart of the Gayborhood, along 13th Street between Walnut Street and Chancellor Street.
This is just a taste of what Philly Black Pride offers this year.
There are plenty more events to check out, like the Liberty, Love & Black Philly Pride Run along the Schuylkill River Trail (Saturday, April 25, 2026) and the Thrive: Black LGBTQ+ Empowerment Summit at Bebashi: Transition to Hope (Sunday, April 26, 2026).
Events are open to the public, though some require individual tickets, registration or cover charges, and — sorry, kids — all the parties are 21 and over.
