South Street Spring Festival
What better reason to get outside and celebrate the season than the annual South Street Spring Festival?
The free, all-ages event typically spans 12-plus city blocks and features over 30 area restaurants and bars serving al fresco, more than 125 boutiques and businesses catering to visitors’ style and shopping needs, dozens of bands rocking several stages and multiple performance areas, and dozens of artists selling their handmade wares.
The festivities run along South Street, beginning at Front Street and concluding at 8th Street and run along Headhouse Plaza.
Eight blocks of food, drink, music, arts, shopping and fun.
Outside vendors team up with South Street area restaurants to serve up a non-stop flow of delicious food. Local bites from neighborhood eateries and popular city food trucks will bring a wide variety of cuisines and flavors to the seasonal celebration.
In conjunction with the South Street Spring Festival, Brauhaus Schmitz will host its annual German Maifest on the 700 block of South Street, with German beers, dancers, music, food, flower headbands and even a Maypole.
The festival is a free, all-ages event. Food, drink and shopping is pay-as-you-go.
