Five Can’t-Miss Holiday Experiences

1. Grand Illumination Celebration & Holiday Kickoff Weekend

November 14-16, 2025

Let there be light! With a little help from the Clauses, Peddler’s Village flips the switch on 1 million twinkling lights, washing the town’s brick paths, shops and boutiques in light and color.

Featuring live performances, extended shopping hours and the return of the highly anticipated gingerbread display (more on that below), the Grand Illumination Celebration on November 14, 2025, is just the kickoff to a full weekend of festive fun.

Pro tip: The annual lighting, which starts at 6:15 p.m. that day, is very popular. To secure a parking spot, arrive at least an hour early.

The celebration continues with carolers, strolling street performers, a Singing Santa and other surprises from November 15 to 16, 2025.

2. Gingerbread Competition & Display

November 14, 2025 – January 17, 2026

On your marks … get set … BAKE! Since 1984, this beloved tradition has challenged local bakers of all ages and experience levels to hit the kitchen and bake up the most creative and delectable gingerbread displays imaginable.

This year, expect over 100 hand-decorated gingerbread creations on display — everything from your traditional gingerbread abode to cookie recreations of classic holiday films — as part of the free exhibit.

3. Holly Jolly Weekend

December 6 & 7, 2025

You heard right: Santa Claus is coming to town. Jolly old Saint Nick leads two days of parades and festivities through the streets of the village — and you’re invited to join in the fun.

Parades begin at 1:30 p.m. each day.

4. Fire & Frost Fun

January 9-17, 2026 (Fridays & Saturdays)

The holidays may end in January, but the lights aren’t going out just yet. Peddler’s Village keeps the magic alive with one final can’t-miss hurrah during the Fire & Frost Fun series.

The free annual series closes out the season with live fire artistry, warming fire pits, outdoor food and drink, live music, games, ice-carving demonstrations and plenty of ice sculptures.

Previous years’ ice sculptures included mermaids, angels, a frog prince, a dragon and even a full cocktail bar.

5. Enchanted Evenings

Weeknights through December 2025

Looking for a low-key visit? Beat the crowds during the new-for-2025 Enchanted Evenings, featuring after-dark live entertainment on select weekdays, extended shop and restaurant hours, photo ops, and — perhaps best of all — light crowds.
