The 12-mile-long, multi-lane Roosevelt Boulevard is the diagonal backbone of Northeast Philadelphia, as well as the region’s commercial heart and key transportation artery.
Beginning at the Bucks County border at Somerton and traveling southwest to near Broad Street where it becomes the Roosevelt Expressway, “The Boulevard” (as locals call it) is a convenient travelway connecting North Philadelphia and Center City to points northeast.
As a gateway into the city or out to the Countryside, New Jersey and New York, the stretch of road offers a number of hotel options that are close to parks, shopping, travel and more. Choose between budget lodging, roadside motor lodges and country-style inns, all with convenience and economy at the center.
Sites along the way include Tacony Creek, Pennypack and Benjamin Rush parks, Franklin Mall (the city proper’s largest) and Northeast Philadelphia Airport.
